Online theoretical training (batch 2) of the apprenticeship warehouse operator following the German model
The Vocational Training in Sri Lanka (VTSL) project and the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka (AHK) engaged with various private sector partners (PSP) and with public TVET institutions such as the TVEC to achieve the goal of increase access to demand-based cooperative vocational training. The targeted sector for this programme is the logistics and supply chain management. The main objective of the programme that is assigned is to deliver a theoretical training to a targeted group (pre-identified) of people working under warehouse operations in logistic sector. The materials, which (pre-developed), included learning objectives integrated with action oriented and interactive learning. The Teachers has undergone a training planned to be provided by the designers of the curriculum. The Training programme is conducting through the online platform and module examinations and all other activities are conducted through a Learning Management System (LMS).

Coordination, communication, lecturing, instructing, facilitating, regular reporting to the client and monitor total training. The teachers manage the learning progress of their trainees and assure that they use the right materials. They do brief introductions and presentations of the material to the trainees as well as preparing and conducting tests with individual feedback to the trainees. The teachers also communicate with the companies for exchange on learning outcomes and trainee´s progress. Moreover, handling the LMS platform, uploading learning materials, sample exam questions, Exam questions and other documents to the LMS and Google drives as needed, handling the online learning platform (Zoom) by creating relevant links to the classes and examinations, recording trainees’ attendance, preparing exam results reports and other reports as needed and handling administration activities.
